Our Mission

The mission of Vidalia Presbyterian Church is to develop mature disciples who know, love, and serve Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We are an inclusive community which exists to experience, appreciate, celebrate and explore the spiritual foundation of existence. We respect and value a wide range of perceptions, and understand the place of questions and doubt in spiritual growth. We offer an atmosphere conducive to reflection and renewal as we examine the unexamined aspects of our lives, respond to the wonder of being, and offer ourselves in service and love to others.

Our Faith

As a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we are a part of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches, one of the largest Protestant bodies world-wide. We are a congregation that seeks to call, engage and equip believers toward a fully committed life in Jesus Christ.

Through our Catholic heritage we proclaim our belief in the incarnation of God in Jesus Christ and belief in the mystery of the true God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Through our Protestant heritage we proclaim our belief in the authority of Scripture and the justification by grace through faith.

Through our Reformed heritage we proclaim our belief in the sovereignty of God, election to service and salvation, the covenant life of the church, faithful stewardship of God’s creation, vigilance before the human tendency toward idolatry, and life lived in obedience to the Word of God.
