The city of Vidalia is located in the coastal plains region of Georgia roughly halfway between the cities of Macon and Savannah. It is a rich agricultural area, well known for its sweet Vidalia Onions. We enjoy a slower pace of life without the congestion of the larger Georgia cities. At the same time we are close enough for day trips to the coast. We are 3 hours south of Atlanta.
Vidalia’s largest employer is the Meadows Hospital. We have a growing industrial base and benefit from the closeness of the Savannah container ship port. Our Ministerial Profile contains more details regarding our city.
