Vidalia Presbyterian Church’s vision for ministry emphasizes integration with existing efforts rather than duplication. We focus on connecting our members with the community in meaningful ways.

VPC members are very active as volunteers in the Vidalia community.  We have had volunteers working for the United Way, The Mercy Ministries, the Boys and Girls Club, the Vidalia Public Library, the Meadows Hospital, the SOAPS animal shelter, Rotary, Kiwanis and various other organizations.  VPC members are often aware of needs and opportunities in our community and are able to recruit other members to help.

A new program called “The ComPassion Project” has begun which highlights local community organizations and matches congregational contributions up to $200 each month.

We are generous with our facilities and frequently have community groups in our building including NA, AA, annual Hospice Memorial services, exercise programs, and various other clubs and groups. Over the past several years we have built a relationship with the Iglesia Latina Presbyterian Church in Swainsboro; we have shared annual picnic events at both churches and recently swapped pulpits with Sunday services.

Our Music Ministry has been a major part of church life; choir traditions include joint Christmas cantatas, community caroling and community chorus. The VPC music programs are well known and a point of pride within the Vidalia community.
